Johannesburg and Pretoria
These two cities form the “heart beat” and economic hub of South Africa.
Johannesburg is the gateway to South Africa and it is here you will meet a multicultural blend of people from all walks of life and various parts of the world. Referred to as Gauteng “Place of Gold” the city is still one of the largest producers of gold and diamonds. An escorted tour to the suburb of Soweto, known as the cultural heart of South Africa is rated as one of the top 20 tourism destinations in South Africa.
Pretoria is referred to as Jacaranda City as the streets are lined with the beautiful purple blossomed Jacaranda trees.
Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga and Limpopo

These regions are a short flight from Johannesburg and offer a variety of Safari experiences to suite all tastes and pockets.
The word “safari” brings to mind the romantic images of untamed wildlife and magical African sunsets and is one of the main reasons why visitors come to South Africa. The diverse vegetation and habitat ensures each park is unique. Accommodation varies from National Park self catering units, comfortable tasteful lodges to exceptionally luxurious private lodges. A typical day on safari involves making the most of your time in the bush by going out on an early morning and evening game drive in search of the Big Five (Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard).
Aquila and Inverdoorn
Both Aquila and Inverdoorn offer visitors to Cape Town who do not have time for a 3 day safari to experience the spectacular scenery of the Karoo and wildlife that once roamed freely over these plains. There is the option to enjoy a full day safari departing from Cape Town or to overnight at one of the lodges. The scenic drive from Cape Town to Aquila is 90 minutes and to Inverdoorn 2,5 hours over the spectacular Bains Kloof pass. Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges with incredible sunsets and breathtaking sky-scapes. The Game viewing includes: Rhino, Giraffe, Lion, Cheetah, Blue Wildebeest, Springbok and variety of antelope. For bird lovers the birdlife is abundant, with over 165 different species.
The Garden Route

As the name implies this is an area of indigenous forests, lakes and meandering rivers stretching from Slang River on the Southern Cape Coast to the Tsitsikamma Forest and Storms River.
The Garden Route is a natural extension to your stay in Cape Town and can be explored as a self drive or with a professional guide. Highlights along this route include venturing into the Klein Karoo town of Oudtshoorn to explore the Cango Caves with their spectacular display of limestone stalagmites and stalactites. A number of scenic mountain passes link the interior to the popular coastal towns of Mossel Bay, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. The sweeping, unspoiled golden beaches along this route are breath taking.
Eastern Cape
The malaria-free Eastern Cape offers a great safari holiday destination and is the perfect add on to your Cape Town visit or Garden Route experience. This area is the ancestral land of the Xhosa people, birthplace of Nelson Mandela and was once one of the richest game areas of Africa. Through various conservation programs the land is returning to its origins.
The private game reserves and national parks in the Eastern Cape have a selection of unique and luxurious safari lodges to satisfy all tastes and budgets. From the award winning Shamwari Game Reserve, Blaauwbosch and the Amakhala Game Reserve, to the Addo Elephant National Park, you will find somewhere to suit your needs.
Durban and KwaZulu-Natal

Zululand, the heart and pulse of the Zulu Kingdom. This area of northern KwaZulu-Natal Province extends along the coast of the Indian Ocean from the Tugela River in the south to the Pongola River in the north. Sandy beaches, Untamed wilderness areas, soaring peaks of the Drakensberg and the captivating stories of Battlefields of the passed are what make this part of the country so captivating.
Durban is South Africa’s major port. You can find the finest curries outside of India in Durban and explore the oriental bazaars for fragrant spices, incense, silks and saris. The sweeping beaches stretch from the subtropical South all the way North to the game areas of the Hluhulwe-Umfolozi Reserve and the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park.

St Lucia Wetlands Park was declared South Africa's first Natural World Heritage and incorporates Lake St Lucia, the St Lucia and Maputaland Marine Reserves, the Coastal Forest Reserve and Kosi Bay Nature Reserve. The protected area is home to the largest population of hippopotamus and approximately 1,000 crocodiles as well as a wealth of plant and animal life.
