World Mental Health Conference

The South African Federation for Mental Health is a broadly inclusive body that is constituted by Mental Health Care Users, organisations providing mental health care services, and professionals in the field of mental health in South Africa.

We are proud to have been successful in our bid to host the first World Mental Health Congress of the World Federation for Mental Health to be held in sub-Saharan Africa and to create an opportunity to spotlight mental health issues of global importance and of particular relevance to developing countries.

The Local Organising Company, capably chaired by Mrs Ingrid Daniels (Director of Cape Mental Health Society), is working closely with The Conference Company (professional conference organisers) and the CTICC to ensure that the 2011 World Mental Health Congress is hugely successful.

The organising committee aims to host a world-class event in terms of administration, venue, scientific content, and opportunities to socialise and network. We also want to ensure that registration fees are affordable to delegates from Africa and abroad. With this in mind, we appeal to potential sponsors to support the Congress.
